On June 5, 2025, Rep. Stevens expressed concerns about a new report from the Governor’s office regarding potential impacts of former President Trump's legislative proposals. She stated: "A new report from the Governor’s office confirms what I’ve been hearing from Michiganders about their worst fears for Trump’s ‘big, beautiful bill.’ Critical programs are going to be cut, Michiganders will be struggling even more, and we're going to see prices go even higher."

Later that day, she emphasized the importance of supporting union workers and veterans in Michigan's manufacturing sector.
