Rep. Haley Stevens, a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan's 11th district since 2019, has recently shared insights and updates through her social media platform. Known for her commitment to automotive industries and legislative efforts, Stevens' posts reflect both personal interests and professional initiatives.
On July 7, 2025, Rep. Stevens expressed enthusiasm about a conversation she had with an individual named Joe, highlighting her affinity for cars and Michigan. She stated, "Had an awesome time chatting with Joe about all my favorite things - cars, Michigan, and everything in between! What can I say? I love a Pontiac Solstice!!"
The following day on July 8, 2025, Stevens announced her intention to introduce new legislation in response to international trade concerns. She criticized former President Trump's agreement with China by saying "NEW: Trump's so-called deal with China still lets them control our supply chains." To address these issues, she is proposing the Unearth America’s Future Act aimed at reducing dependency on China by bringing critical mineral supply chains back to the United States.
Later that same day, Stevens reiterated the significance of her proposed legislation through another post. She described the Unearth America’s Future Act as "Big News I am introducing the Unearth America’s Future Act - a bold piece of legislation that will secure our mineral supply chains, lower costs, and strengthen our national security!"
Haley Stevens was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. A graduate of American University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she succeeded Dave Trott in representing Michigan's 11th district.
