Haley Stevens U.S. House of Representatives from Michigan's 11th district | Official U.S. House Headshot
Rep. Haley Stevens, who represents Michigan’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, has posted a series of statements on her social media accounts addressing issues ranging from automotive industry regulations to gun violence.
On July 31, 2025, Stevens announced her intent to introduce new legislation regarding Chinese-backed car companies: "The rules apply to everyone. If a car is built by a company backed by China, but made elsewhere, it should face the same scrutiny as if it were built in Beijing. That's exactly why I’m introducing the No Chinese Cars Act."
Later that day, on August 1, 2025, Stevens responded to an incident of gun violence: "Absolutely awful news. We must work together to end senseless gun violence in our communities. My heart is with the victim and their family at this time."
On August 1, she also shared another post containing only a link: https://t.co/ZS0BFGouun.
Stevens has served in Congress since replacing Dave Trott in 2019 and represents Michigan’s 11th district. She was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan in 1983 and currently resides in Birmingham. Stevens holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University.
