Rep. Haley Stevens, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 11th district since 2019, addressed manufacturing and data privacy issues in a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On August 12, 2025, Stevens commented on recent developments regarding Detroit Axle’s Ferndale warehouse: "Grateful to hear that Detroit Axle’s Ferndale warehouse is staying open. But no company should ever have to wonder if it can survive because of Trump’s shoot-from-the-hip tariffs. I will keep fighting for trade policy that empowers manufacturers, lowers consumer costs, and https://t.co/idiO3hsCem". The post referenced concerns about the impact of former President Donald Trump’s tariff policies on local manufacturers.
The following day, August 13, 2025, Stevens highlighted Michigan's manufacturing sector with the statement: "When we're making here in Michigan, we're unstoppable! https://t.co/PiK5kpzB1u".
Later on August 13, she raised concerns about data privacy and legislative efforts to protect taxpayer information: "DOGE getting access to your personal data is a dangerous wake-up call. Stevens has represented Michigan's 11th District since succeeding Dave Trott in 2019. Born in Rochester Hills in 1983 and currently residing in Birmingham, she holds a BA from American University.
