Rep. Haley Stevens, who represents Michigan’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on social media this week addressing issues ranging from Social Security to cancer research funding.
On August 14, 2025, Stevens marked the anniversary of Social Security by noting its significance for Michigan residents and contrasting her position with that of former President Donald Trump. She wrote, "90 years ago, Social Security became law. Since then, it’s never missed a payment. Now over 2 million Michiganders count on it.
